Is there a possibility you have the lyrics to this song? I have always loved this song, and I actually have this show on vhs, and I’ve viewed it so many times, it’s losing its quality. I can understand some of the words, but I’d love to know exactly what she’s saying. It’s a great song.
this is back in the days when she was still interested in performing and serious about singing…. today’s she’s neither. she’s a fat white may west look alike who doesn’t even try to sing anymore.
I Want To Be Bad (DeSylva, Brown & Henderson) is from the 1920s musical FOLLOW THROUGH. I know of two versions. One, recorded in 1929, is by Helen Kane, the flapper who was the model for the cartoon character Betty Boop. & a “gay” version recorded the same year by Ray Ventura and His Collegians w/ vocals by Edward Foy; although in the 1920s men often sang songs written for the opposite gender without changing the lyrics. Men used to be less uptight about their masculinity, I suppose.
Can some body fill in the history of this song? I have googled but have come up short, maybe you hardcore fans would know? Like who wrote it and is this Diana’s song or a interpretation? Thanks! :*
Barry has always loved Diana Ross. He would buy the first 100 seats at every concert, and fill them with Motown friends and family, so that she got a good audience response. Even still her charm is contagious. Have Fun!!!

Such an insightful comment…God forbid that after giving 50 years of her life to music and performance, she should want to actually retire!!
I agree.
This concert had to influence modern day singers/performers such as Beyonce, Ciara, Rhiana, monica and so forth!!!!!! What a performance!
