@crhood2166 Like he didn’t check it beforehand. Wells was always an overbearing [expletive]; he’d badmouth Knievel as if Evel had never accomplished anything. I was sadistically satisfied when Wells almost bit the wong that day.
@FaceInTheRain The concrete wall prevented the unknown wanabee biker from smashing into the building itself. He’s glad the wall was there for him to plow into ! BWAAhahaha
Robbie should be on a KX500, it’s got more power than the Honda. Better yet, he should get himself a Maico 700 MMX, which delivers 82 horsepower, compared with the 65 or so of a CR500, but with a broader and easier-to-control powerband.
@Skazellino
I doubt anyone one moved his ramp. He over steered then tried to correct it, causing him to miss the ramp. Had he checked the ramps before the jump he would have noticed it was out of place. Lame excuse. And why were there no hay bales in front of that wall? That could have cut down on the amount of injuries.
Gary Wells was the best he cleared it so easily and got the most air (besides metzger with his huge ramps) He shoulda made it. I beleive ya Gary the ramp was moved.
The later ones learned from the older ones. Wow Gary Wells was flying and no padding anywhere if he happen to miss. He had nothing but concrete all around to slam into .
Gary didn’t keep the bike straight through the jump and why he missed the landing ramp. If you look you can see he has the steering turned slightly to one side.
Yeah, sure, somebody “moved the ramp”. Even if that BS was true, if the guy was too much of a dumb shit to check something like that, he deserved what he got.
shit, that was intense!! I love what the reporter says when Gary crashed “My god he’s not even moving” however the guy said it was hilarious! You figure they would have checked the ramps before doing the stunt.

never forget the night Robbie did it… we watched it on what was a beautiful spring night. and was very excited he chose Honda for the jump!
so now he’s off to the Snake River Canyon.. if anyone can do it, Robbie can!

Damn look at his legs.
It was only 3 degrees off, hard to notice.

Nose high landing like his father, but he stuck the landing.

Gary had balls, but it looks like “Then after Knievel failed, a local bell-hop brought his OWN motorcycle and attempted the jump again!”
moved the ramp – what arsehole did that?
Yeah, because with all that hay and stuff there’s absolutely no way he could possibly get hurt. (sarcasm)
Gary Wells is an idot
he jsut says that because he failed in trying to make the master look stupid
Moved the ramp? Yeah, right. What a worm.

Gary Wells is fucking FLYING when he hits that jump.
well yay for him-i say its not worth it
You have to give Evel credit. Look at his bike compared to Robbie’s XD.
