Free Attractions Worth Seeing In Las Vegas
Las Vegas can be an expensive place to visit, especially if your luck runs out as you start playing blackjack or trying your luck on the slot machines.
You will be amazed at the number of things you can enjoy doing which don’t require you to part with any cash at all. One of the most famous examples is the Bellagio fountains. It may not sound like much but this water and light show set to music has been wowing visitors for a long time now.
The fountain displays start at 3pm during the week and midday at weekends and on holidays. It’s best to see them once it has got dark in order to fully appreciate the incredible free show you are being treated to.
Everyone likes a spot of shopping, but if Las Vegas shopping is a bit too pricey for you there are other things you can enjoy if you head for the famous Caesars Palace. This has a range of Forum Shops on offer, and outside you can see some talking statues. Yes you did read that right ‘ and since Caesars Palace has a Roman theme you won’t be surprised to find Venus and Apollo having a chat together.
Las Vegas is famous for its surrounding desert, which is dotted with drought resistant plants such as cacti. You can see a wide range of cacti for free when you visit Ethel’s Chocolate Factory. This is located on the appropriately named Cactus Garden Drive, and a trip here also gives you the opportunity to watch how their chocolates are made on a short free factory tour.
There is certainly a good range of free activities in Las Vegas, and these just scratch the surface of what you can find while you are there. For example how does a free encounter with some lions sound?
The famous lion habitat created by MGM Grand is in the hotel itself. The lions do not stay there all the time though; their real home is at a nearby ranch. This unique habitat enables visitors to see a lion much closer than they may ever have done before. Just a thick sheet of glass will separate you from them, making this a memorable experience. And it is all free of charge too.
The MGM Grand is just one of many Vegas hotels you can stay in. Your holiday might be cheaper than you think, thanks to all the things you can do without spending anything in the process. That should save you a bit of money to use up in the casinos!
